Afterwork - International Organisations & Data Governance

A journey to build up data governance maturity from inception to a running operating model.  

Stéphane Vignoud, Data Service Manager at the Global Fund, will present the successes, challenges, and lessons learned from this journey, which started in 2022 and is still ongoing.

About the speaker

Stéphane is a former IT consultant who has lived and worked in Vietnam, Canada, and France. He joined the Global Fund in 2018, where he has taken on various responsibilities, including IT Solutions Delivery, Enterprise Architecture, and Data Management.

His professional career started in Vietnam, where he contributed to overseas development programs between France and Vietnam. He then moved to Paris to take responsibility for a banking product, and later to Montréal, where he provided consulting services to various large companies. Following this, he led the EMEA IT solution delivery team for Texas Instruments in the South of France.

Over the past 16 years, Stéphane has been working at the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria, initially leading the IT solution delivery team and implementing the first corporate data warehouse. After a few years, he assumed the role of Enterprise Architect before leading the Data and Integration team, where he contributed to the creation of the first Global Fund Data Governance program and represented the CIO as Chair of the Data Governance Committee.

When he is not working, Stéphane enjoys outdoor activities like running, hiking, and skiing, as well as reading and spending time with his family.
